I am currently treating my 1950 BL to a new set of carpets. They all seem to fit, albeit with a little ‘fettling’ but I am stumped by the two small pieces (see pic) which I cannot find a home for. I found a picture on the CTA Sweden site which just describes them as ‘for under shelf’, but I cannot for the life of me see that I need any further carpet in that position.

Anybody out there who has done this before?

      Cheers

That piece of carpet goes alongside the windscreen on either side, over the top of the wind-lace.

Hi Larry. Thanks for your reply, but I still can’t see exactly what you mean. The new side section of carpet I have fitted runs up far enough to meet the section of trim that runs down the side of the screen so I don’t see a place for this piece. Don’t suppose you have a photo?

          Sorry to be so dumb….

they can also go alongside the ends of the dashboard in the case of the later cars with the thick windscreen surround, but on a 1950 they would go just above this area. The picture shows my 11B
