      I have just received my entry into The Lancaster Pride Of Ownership at the November Classic Car Show at the  NEC, Birmingham. This a was very difficult entry to gain as only 20 cars can be entered and my car was shortlisted and eventually selected and approved by the organisers.

      This is a fantastic boost for the Citroen Traction Avant (To my knowledge a first for a T A) I sincerely hope that all in the TOC and the Forum will take time to visit this stand and place their vote for my car, this stand is entirely judged by the visiting public, so place your vote and promote the best Vintage car on the road.  I have worked hard with the company promoting this stand for Lancaster Insurance, almost 2 years pestering and trying to convince them, this would be to their  advantage and the viewing public. I have a long journey from County Antrim, Northern Ireland via Liverpool then a short drive to Birmingham,  5 days in Hotel accommodation then back to the Liverpool boat with hopefully a winning Citroen, back home to NI

          That is fantastic – I look forward to seeing you – and the car – in November.

          In the meantime perhaps you might like to send the Editor a short paragraph and a picture for FP – it could help drum up those necessary votes at the show.

                Looking forward to meeting you and all my friends from the TOC. I will have plenty of time over the weekend to visit the TOC stand and hope that most will visit the Lancaster Pride of Ownership Stand  to view my car.  The Traction will have to be kept clean and tidy during the show and will hopefully  promote the Citroen Traction Avant. It will be our first holiday together, my wife Betty is starting to get envious, only joking she’s pleased for us both. Four of my good friends have committed to sharing expenses, help with the car and keep me company throughout the entire weekend.
