You could go the ‘Dynalite’ route http://www.powerlite-units.com/about-dynalites/ alternator that looks like a dynamo (other suppliers are available searching online) or get your 6v dynamo rewound to 12v by Broadway Electrical, contact info in the ‘Services’ section.
