Many thanks for the advice, I lightly oiled the cord and have been able to get the two halves of the oils seal holder in place, with cork gaskets behind. Not easy. However I find that the design of the holder means it is almost impossible two do up the two top nuts of the lower half as the thick ali webs mean you cannot get a spanner onto them, did you find a solution?
