In the boot area the rust ( and that’s the only rust) had perforated the metal but it looks the same as when I owned the car. There is a lot of red dirt underneath that I assume is from Africa. What makes it sort of special is that outside sun visor which was made in Durban. The roof rack I bought on Ebay from a guy in California who shipped it to me and I refinished it. I never put anything in it, but I loved the way it looked. When I got the car, the paint was in poor condition; falling off in some places, there were small dents and holes drilled for other lights and so forth. I was never going to have the body redone but being rear-ended changed that. The insurance paid to fix the body and the shop that did the work did an amazing job of pulling the body back into shape but the paint job could have been better. There was enough money left over to redo the seats in Italian leather and re-chrome another rear bumper that came with the car. I still have the old, mangled bumper sitting outside on my patio as a display piece along with a bunch of other rusty Traction bits.
