Hi, we have a starter issue on our 6volt 1956 Traction 11BL. It is fitted with a starter motor which has a manual switch mounted on the motor, activated by a pull cable. The outer casing of the cable was shorting out; I will replace it with a new cable.  In the spares list a replacement switch is listed as D39a.  I have looked at other parts lists but am now confused and so looking for confirmation that this part from the Club will resolve the problem.  Does anyone else have experience of this issue, please?  Any suggestions welcome!

      Thanks

        Tony,

The fault is a fairly common function of old age and wear.

However, there are several different types of switch, depending on the make of the starter motor.  I would suggest you send a photo of your switch to Chris Treagust …..

…… and ask him to confirm that D39A is a suitable replacement.
