Last year I fitted the corded type crankshaft oil seal in place of the scroll type. Mine has not sealed too well and lets oil passed. I wondered if you had more success and that my problem is due to an error in fitting it?
Currently I have the gearbox off the car to replace the drive shaft seals. I have removed the corded seal and am wondering if I should refit the scroll seal. It was very hard to make the corded seal fit properly.
