Check out the wiring diagram in the members area.

Basically, one goes to the sender and the other to the regulator. (12v). Which wire is which is a matter of testing with a voltage applied. Ideally use the sender in the circuit as a potentiometer to see the deflection of the needle. A correct needle movement will indicate which wire is which as per the wiring diagram.
