      trying to separate gearbox and engine have got a gap of 15mm between engine and bellhousing something is stopping it from coming any further any ideas please

        Gary,

        Can’t think of anything obvious.

        Could the gearbox input shaft be binding on the clutch?  If so, perhaps you could try turning the shaft with the starting handle dog.

          got back to working on car the clutch plate had rusted to gearbox stopping coming of
