Boot hinge pin removal

      I successfully removed the hinge pins from the doors and have those off the body.

      Moving on to the boot lid. I’ve removed the small clips on the end of the pins but they don’t seem to be coming out. So far I’ve been using penetrating oil and a hammer.

      Am I missing anything, or do I just need a bigger hammer?

        Peter,

        If they are that tight I would suggest unbolting the hinge from either the boot lid or the frame ……. having again, applied plenty of penetrating fluid first.

          Thanks Bernie,

          I’ll take that approach. Those bolts are rusted/crumbling so I should remove them anyway.
