      BLUF (Bottom Line Up Front)

      • Looking for the name of the green Citroen engine color, formula or the name of a vendor that might sell and ship to the States?

      –   Need the paint as I am pulling the head and block on a 1937 Cabriolet

      –  The block came back from the machinist and is ready for a new coat of the Citroen engine green

        Engine green for an Austin Healey is a pretty good match. It’s what I use and who’s going to notice? From Moss Motors and other English car specialists.

          Austin Healey engine green is a light metallic green, nothing like Citroen engine green. I think you mean BMC or Morris engine green which is much darker although not quite as dark as Citroen green but a suitable substitute. Also available from British car specialists.

            Hi Richard- I just now looked at the can and it is AH Sprite engine enamel. So, Austin Healey was close. I used to use a 1950s Pontiac green engine paint but it’s very hard to find. It’s a dark green.
