I have a friend with an Onze Legere who is looking for a battery. He had hoped to have his old battery recored but the company that did that in Glasgow has gone out of business. So what are the recommendations for a good 6v battery, I have a Light 15 so not much help.

      Cheers

I have heard Lincoln batteries do 6 volters, period looking and ££! No personal experience with them.

          Richard,

I always found Lincon, in Essex, to be good but more recently they were unable to ship because of the acid hazard.

I now use Tayna, based in Wales ….

They offer a good selection at reasonable prices with an excellent “NEXT-DAY” service throughout the mainland.  The batteries arrive very securely strapped to a pallet, presumably their way round the hazard issue.

          B…..

Thanks Bernie and Alistair, I have used Lincon in the past and found them good but I lived in Essex then which was helpful. I will pass the information on to the owner.

            Cheers

Just purchased a 6 volt battery from a firm here in Wigan called Shield Batteries for my Light 15.  Cost £100 and was filled and charged for me to collect the next day.  Good service and very helpful.
