Is there one available for the 15/6? I’m asking for a friend who says it’s difficult to push in the pedal.

        Larry,

I have a diaphragm in my 15/6.  These are the main elements …

However, it did require a different flywheel to replace the original bi-plate unit.  Mine is actually a newly made flywheel which came from a chap who had it “spare” and unwanted, on the shelf.  Unfortunately, I don’t know how it compares with a later, original, single disc flywheel.

In honesty, I don’t think it makes the clutch operation much lighter but it does haveo a ball thrust race and that is definitely better for wear than the carbon original.

          Larry,

Regret I failed to take pictures of either the flywheel or thrust race.  Sorry!

              Hi Bernie,

I will be changing the clutch on my 6H (1954 single plate) over the winter – do you have the part number and supplier for the friction plate with springs? I currently have a friction plate without springs but I’ve been advised that as I’ve got modern drive shafts that I should consider a plate with springs.

I have hunted around but have not found one that is designated for a 6H although the later H van friction plate looks suitable.

              Thanks

              Steve W

                Steve,

This is my clutch plate, pictured before I fitted it …. but I have no record of the actual part number.

                  Hi Bernie,

I have raised it on the CitroenTA@groups.io forum and got a very quick response from Mark Harding. The response is directly quoted below: –

                  Hi steve,
I always use the sprung 215 mm dia plate from the 11cv. You often need to rotate the flywheel as you ease in the cover plate.  You can make little hold down clips to hold the three operating fingers against the springs. They are shown in the manual.</p>
                  Best regards Mark

The next one I need to resolve is the ball thrust race as this would seem to be the better solution over and above the ” Carbon Version”.
