          Larry,

Thanks – I am aware they are available from several mainland Europe sources but I was (still am) hoping to avoid stupid carriage costs by finding one in the UK.

If I get no response in the next 24 hours or so I shall order from one of the dealers as I am not happy using the car without it.

            Update …

I have now obtained one piece locally but am still interested in having another to keep on the shelf for a rainy day.

I recently bought a couple of repro lenses and discovered 2 things:

Thing 1 – the glass is slightly thicker than the originals which required a little fettling to get them to fit over the fixing screws. I fettled the screw heads rather than the glass.

Thing 2 – the glass is actually clear glass with an orange film on the outside. It turns out that if you cook it in French and Polish sunshine it starts to peel off. The originals are coloured glass.

On advice of the Delorean club website I have purchased this Tamiya x-26 clear orange paint – not sure whether to peel all the film off and paint the outside, or paint the inside (but see above for need for fettling).Tamiya X 26 orange paint

                Chris,

Other than Doc and Marty you are the only person I know that reads the DeLorean club website!

Is there something about your car you haven’t told us??😳😳

Just to say I obtained a brand new glass lens and seal from TOC Spares.  Thanks, Chris.

However, if anybody does still have another,  do please let me know as I think it would be good to have a spare in reserve.

                    Ta.  B….
