      I am about to remove the rack from my 37 BL and take it apart. Is there any advantage to installing a grease fitting at the steering box where the pinion intersects with the rack teeth?  Also, should one be installed anywhere else? Or will just smearing everything with grease before assembly be OK?

        My gut feeling is the

        At it would do no harm to add a greasing facility as you suggest as long as it can be done without compromising the hardware in any way.
