Hi does the front studded rod sit in the transverse groove with the triangles bent from above down, or does the rod sit above the triangles with them bent up? Thanks.

Sorted it, found an old photo, in groove, tabs folded down.

          Hi,

I’m currently trying to work out a similar issue with how the front headlining rod is retained in the transverse  groove. Any chance you could share the picture you found ?

          Many thanks,

          Tim

Hi Tim, the picture I have is truly awful but it clarified the rod position because the apex of the triangular metal tabs was bent down over it. Photo enclosed. If unclear I can try to explain further. Regards AlainIMG_6674

                Thanks Alain,

The picture is good enough to confirm how it should fit.

The problem I had was that the little triangular tabs were all broken off. Hence there was nothing to hold the front rail in position.

Using self taping screws and body washers I have managed to locate the rail and replicate what the tabs should have done.

                Thanks again,

                Tim
