So I fixed the water pump (for now) and I fixed the issue with the front brake where the rubber on the slave cylinder kept popping off. Fitted a new set to it and also lubricated the pistons a little and all seems OK for now.
I had a short spin out on the bike (my work season starts in 22 days, and i am supposed to be fit for 1000km around Corsica) and came back to find someone else’s Traction parked outside my house. The neighbours truly think we have changed profession.

Then it was time to take out Vinny to test out the brakes and the engine and get some kilometres in so I can change out the oil before heading off on to excursions with the Traction Universelle in a few weeks time. I have not driven much in the Traction so far and it is so funny the looks you get, waves, lights flashing etc. I think I am going to enjoy this car π Took the wife out for a pizza and salad π

Happens here in the UK as well π
Our local car club had to exhibit some cars outside our local Norauto – we go a free lunch at Flunch. π
So took the opportunity to park the Dyane which is for sale and then had the agro from a load of geriatric French guys saying it was not original and it was not a citroen anymore – for goodness sake, it is a Dyane suitable for a young lad to have fun in, not a world heritage classic π π
But I also took my Traction which was a surprise to them all as last time they saw it was on on the back of a trailer in the state I found it. They loved the interior and the engine and then pointed out all the problems with the bodywork (which I have not touched yet) all in the day of a car enthusiast I suppose.
This is the Super Traction of the club chairman (who has just a few cars, bikes, tractors, combine harvesters…… you get the picture)

Was on the A36 yesterday doing towards Salisbury and saw a beautiful 11B French car with engljsh registration KSL 246. We waved and they stopped but as we were getting out to say hello , they turned around and “sped” off.
Got my little Gordini engine and gearbox for the 4CV so very happy.
