I just need to know if this is OK ❗

My clutch thrust bearing mechanism (changed for a new bearing) is working smoothly and perfectly sliding forward and aft on the shaft when not connected to the gearbox T bar at the top. When I connect this up, the mechanism slides fine until all the way forward where it sticks a little bit. A small push and it flies back in. I have adjusted and readjusted the connector to the T bar but with minimal results.

Will the spring off the clutch plate be enough to force the thrust bearing back (i.e. like me pushing it back) or should it be super smooth. I am sure I did not go into this depth when I put the last clutch in.

This is the last part before I mate the gearbox and engine back together.

      Thanks
      Ian

        Nobody 🙁 🙁

Well I am going to take the risk and get it back in the car – I think the spring of the clutch plate will be enough to keep this thrust bearing mechanism in place and give it the throwback nudge it requires when I lift the clutch pedal. Fingers crossed 😕
