      I am going to this on the Saturday would like to meet some other owners so will be visiting the stand. Might leave credit cards at home though.

            Shame you cannot get there Ian but I understand the exchange rate is a killer. Den I think the Pickpockets would probably spend less than me on my cards. I only went on Fransen site to order the two gutters but the list got a bit longer…………….

              That’s the best thing to do, it maximises value of carriage cost.

                I’m not going this year either. Basically whilst there is the TOC stand and the CCC stand, there are very few cars that I’m interested in and the auto jumble has little or no items for French cars apart from soundproofing and carpeting and even for me with 2 tickets, an overnight stay (as I don’t want to drive both ways in the dark) and petrol it’s a £250+ weekend.

                I can pay for a lot of postage for parts that I do need with that 😮

                  Dave, Invest in a Senior Rail Card!.

                  The standard return rail fare from York to Birmingham International is £62.20 (Outward Saturday, Return Sunday) and Newcastle to Birmingham International is £108.50

                  With the Railcard its £33.90 Return from York and £47.75 Return from Newcastle when booked 6+ Weeks in advance (and the Newcastle train is at 08:43 outward and arrives 20:19 return).

                  Do you really want to spend 9 hours driving on Motorways in the dark?

                  Let the train take the strain!
