        Yes,
Owned by a current TOC member, who lives in Surrey.

        It’s a 1949 RHD Light 15

Just looking into regularity rallies and wondered if anyone has done this. It will probably be with my new 4CV which I am preparing at the moment but as “Vinny” is running so well it would be nice to also have a go with him. I like the rally touristiques but I also like a bit of a purpose when driving so there look quite interesting.

I did notice on this website http://www.classicrallytours.com/amiens.html there is a traction featured.

Anyone in TOC know this car 🙂

I’ve run mine in a couple of vintage touring rallies but these had no time/speed/distance requirements. The regional TSDs tend to be two-day events with mostly modern cars, on back roads, with at least a couple of stages in the dark. I’m sure the car could handle it but I don’t think it would be much fun. I did place 4th out of 20 in a field with cars ranging from 1935-200X in a ~300 km navigation rally, so I was pretty pleased with that.

Against cars of similar vintage I think TAs would do very well, but I wouldn’t think to do it without an auxiliary rally calculator as the stock speedometer and odometer seem hopeless for the purpose.

I was only thinking of the classic TSD events. Although I looked at a few and they were full of Porsches etc. But I will keep looking.

Was thinking of a clip on clock thingy 🙂

Ian have you got November’s Floating Power yet?

There is a good write up from Tony Mather on a rally he did, probably on a route you have ridden a bike over 🙂

219 XUM is not the “primary” car of any current member of the TOC.
Only the registration number of “Primary” car is available to me as Webmaster.

                  An interesting statistic:

                    1 member has 6 cars
                    2 members have 5 cars
                    3 members have 4 cars
                    9 members have 3 cars
                    35 members have 2 cars
                    468 members have 1 car
15 members don’t have a car registered in teh membership information

Which gives a total of 593 cars owned by current TOC Members

Not all members are in the UK though Mick?

So can you work out how many cars are UK based?

Not yet – I knew it was due as I just got the TU magazine which comes the same time.

That is quite a lot of cars for the UK – last time I was back I saw one, tried to stop but it was too busy and missed their reg number. It was just nice to see this one featured on this rally website… a little unexpected.

Yes, It’s just a question of cleansing the data (different county spellings) an then filtering a spreadsheet.

Bob should get the spreadsheet of all cars Mick, I used to get it when I was editor of FP.

                            Quite probably.

The problem is that the spreadsheet only lists the registration number of the primary vehicle.

For those members with more than one vehicle no additional registration details are included.
I’ll see if I can get the membership sec to provide more.

Mick, I was supplied with a 2nd spreadsheet that showed all members cars.

                                Ok, I’ll ask for one.
Do area reps not get a copy of details of members in their area?

Remember that your predecessor set up the printed “TO mutual aid directory”?
Might be worth considering now that we have a secure area on the website…

Please let me have your thoughts….

I do not get a separate advice of new members for my area, only the complete list. I have asked for this before but it seems that it is not easy to produce. The problem for me would be if a new member had more than one Traction and he/she turned up for the first time at an event in a car other than the “primary” car then I would not be able to greet them by name. I cannot understand the reason that all cars are not shown on the spreadsheet that is circulated. I could understand it if no cars were shown.
