It all depends on how ‘original’ looking you want to keep the car or how useable….

I went for Range Rover spec (damp resistant and rot proof) black carpet which I fitted myself.

Along the inner valances I used black self tappers (only a few) to keep the carpet located rather than use nails (I must have removed circa 3 – 4 carpet sets worth when tidying up the inside)

The black self tappers are barely noticeable in the black carpet. The floor carpet is just laid in as it can’t really move and as Den says, I came across a rubber front mat for the 11BL on eBay UK for £30 which I again just laid on top so when the scuttle vent rains in, the drips end up on the rubber mat which can be wiped off (OK sometimes it’s worse than that 😆 )
