Jack – if you do opt for a 6V unit you will find the body is considerably fatter than the 12V.  On a Light 15/Legere it does not sqeeze past the jambonea so you will have to jack the engine up on the right to get it in.  I usually plce a long wooden lever under the back end of the manifold and then pivot against another wooden block (wrapped in cloth to prevent marking the painteork) on the jamboneau.

This can be done without  removing the box covering the rear engine mounting on the bulkhead , but the levering is made much easier if that box is removed.
