Roger,
Like Chris, I would be very wary of using this on a traction gearbox.
If you have leaks either replace the paper gaskets under the two front bearing caps or replace the output seals – and perhaps replace or sleeve the shafts if they are very badly worn.
If the problem is noise, have the box rebuilt ….. or fit a radio.
