OK did a further check and with the distributor cap Off and ignition on, the blue LED on the distributor flashes (hard to count but it looked like 12 times or more?) so there is power to it.
Question is, according to CTA on the Traction the LED should be continuously lit, can anyone confirm please?
Also the rotor arm does rotate when the engine is turned over but there is no spark at the plugs.
