Using an electronic ignition basically rules out starting by hand using the handle in the future and if your going that route, consider a high output coil as well as a standard one may get hot on long motorway runs (I upgraded mine after getting back from France to help with hot starting issues). It also means you can open the plug gap a mil or 2 so the bigger spark helps with a cleaner burn.

Not sure what type of kits will fit a French car, but if it’s a Slough Light 15 with Lucas Electrics, it should be easy to source a kit
