I had to rewire mine anyway so may as well take the opportunity to go 12 volts, plus I have put power steering in which was less hassle with 12 volts.
I have wired for 12volt so hoping I won’t have any snags with the alternator.
But Den, a 42 watt bulb for the charging light, at least it is bright enough to see 🙂
