Thanks ever so much for the pictures – I have been away and have only just returned to find them. They are really useful and confirm what I was thinking of trying to do – ie insert a squared flange to the original catch body that I have. The flange was missing when I got the car. I am looking at squared flange section from maybe a Morris 1000 cut to size and then attempting to braze it in place in the catch in line to accept the squared shaft on the lock handle.
I was then thinking of fashioning a rounded cam to push the lock striker down. The part that I have not yet figured[ and cannot really see from the photos] is how the pin is fixed to the squared shaft and why it is sprung. These parts are missing from my lock – any thoughts would be welcome and again many many thanks for the shots and dismantling.
