Has anyone seen this?
Definitely not a rumour …
This is from TU’s October mag –

I shall post any updates as they arrive.

Must be a sight to behold. I have never even seen 10 tractions together never mind a 1000!
Sounds like you need to attend some Club events …
….. the June Barnstaple rally, Jersey in May and Brittany in July are all guaranteed to generate sights for you to behold, each with a lot more than 10 registered entrants.

David- you should have gone to La Ferte Vidame in 2019 and Arras in 2009. Over 1,000 Tractions at both and they were something to see! A lot of the same cars were at both events. I have to say, I liked Arras better as there were more Traction-specific parts vendors and so forth which is likely how the 2024 event will be.
News from Traction Universelle,

Looks like a good excuse to have a trip over.
We’ve got about 25 cars coming to Devon – there will be pre-war and post war, 4 cylinder and 6 cylinder, roadsters and saloons, French and Slough cars. And not all black, there will be red, blue, green, white, grey. The only type that hasn’t booked yet is the 22CV V-8 but I’m still optimistic. Actually we might also be missing the Commercial / Familiale.
We’re still taking bookings!!

Hi all,
This is getting close!
Apparently there are something close to 30 entries from the UK for the event at the Circuit de Charade. I’m one of them and I know of a few others.
I would like to create a list of who is going from the UK which can be distributed to all of us so that we can plan to travel together – or not. Also in case something goes wrong it is helpful to know how far away critical spares and tools may be especially for those who may be linguistically challenged.
So – if you would like to email me at marketing@traction-owners.co.uk I will create a list and distribute it to those who do email me.
I would like to include in the list which crossings you are planning for both outbound and return, overnight stops on the way there and back, significant spares and tools that you plan to carry and the number of the phone you will have with you.
I assume everyone will carry oil, water, Gaffer tape and basic spanners. It’s the heavy or more specialised stuff that would be of interest.
Many thanks
Chris
Hi Chris,
Looking forward to it, pm sent on journey details. We prefer to use the ‘D’ roads, which although not quite as quick are a darn sight more interesting and enable stopping for a coffee and lunchtime quiet picnic. Last year we went to Bergerac from Portsmouth and returned via NE Paris, about 1100 miles all told, which went well. the roads are generally wonderful and the traffic relatively light, when away from cities.
Look forward to meeting the UK contingent and I trust incident free. travel
Jack
