Am in a bit of a quandary as to which air filter I need. I have the lozenze shape as shown in pics attached. Most seem to have a split in half version with top bolts or an end cap with clips. Mine has neither it has a single butterfly nut on the end cap. Only other one like it I have seen is on a youtube video.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KhQLQZLijVM&t=27s   at 26 seconds shows it plainly.

I am not sure how I am supposed to fit a filter into mine as there are a couple of support brackets inside shown by the pics with red arrows. The distance from the end cap to where any filter could not go further is exactly 280mm which is the dimension of the one for supposedly the top bolt fitting, I think.2578

Hi David, you have the same type of filter that I have. I changed the filter recently and don’t remember seeing any supports. The filter slides in. The filter element is 280mm long. From what you say the filter should slide in and then stop when it hits the support.

That is what I thought. Have a 280mm filter on order from the club and intend removing the supports, not that they actually support anything. These seem quite a rare element holder as compared to the bolt and clip ones.
