brake drums

I need to show a mechanic info on brake drum removal  Does anyone know of floating power issue concerning  brakes?

Also how do you search old issues of floating power on this site,I have looked for tech re brakes but can’t open anything

Chris,

Show him the relevant section of the workshop manual.  If you don’t have a copy it can be accessed here ….

Please make him aware that, for his own safety as well as that of the car, it is imperative he uses the correct hub-puller as illustrated in the manual.  This puller is in each of the tool kits held by many of the area Sections and available for hire to members – see the Sections page in FP.

Ive got the workshop manual,but only found the diagram of the hub puller.. Ive booked in with Chris Treagust for the puller

Fortunately he lives 6 miles from me!  How would i find any relevant brake articles in Floating Power?

There should be some instructions with the tool kit.

I am not sure if you can do a keyword search the back copies of FP on the site –  albeit somebody can advise.??.

However , if you download the technical disc that certainly does have some relevant articles.
