After the announcement in August of a large gathering to celebrate the Centenary of Citroën -as it should be- it remained to find a place and a date.
It’s done !
This grand gathering will be held at the Michelin Technology Center in Ladoux on 19-20-21 July 2019

Don’t know the answer, nothing mentioned on the ACI website – I have asked those that might.

I received this information from Bernie:

“This event is being “organised” by AC France, i.e. Citroen, not the clubs but they have enlisted the help of the French Amicale – but be aware that is not the international ACI. The ACI is simply disseminating the news as it filters through from AC at this stage but, I hope, will be more heavily involved by Citroen/ACF as the date approaches.

My understanding is that this will concentrate on the 100th anniversary of Citroen. Perhaps they will have to manage a passing acknowledgement of the Traction’s coincident important birthday. If they do, I would not expect it to be anything too big because I anticipate from AC’s perspective the aim will be to sell new cars by demonstrating a 100 year history and showing how good the new range is.

I shall certainly try to find out more when I attend the ACI AGM in February.”

So – to answer Larry’s question – No, it looks like there is no big 85th Traction birthday bash planned by Citroen.

We could get some “85 today” stickers for the cars though.

2009, Citroen UK had their own 90th anniversary event at Ace Cafe (I was there and have the pictures and metal plaque, but no Tee shirt 🙂 )

Has anyone enquired whether they intend to do something in the UK in 2019 which TOC could join in with as an 85th celebration?

Is there any more news on this front?  I have been asked twice within a week whether I will be attending.

Are any members planning to go? Does anyone know if Citroen is interested in tractions turning up?

It will be the ” Meeting of the Century “, the place to be for all the Citroën collectors and enthusiasts for the celebration of 100 years of Citroën…

The association, the ” Célébration Centenaire Citroën “,

The ambition of all the Clubs of the “Amicale Citroën & DS France” and of the “Amicale Citroën Internationale”, is to participate actively in the 100 years of our brand. To get ready for it, the “Amicale Citroën & DS France” created an association, the “Célébration Centenaire Citroën “, consisted of commissions asked to operate.

They are selling tickets and the website also states that their camping site has space for 1500 vehicles.

The accommodation is listed as :

The “Office de Tourisme des Forêts du Perche”, the “Conseil départemental d’Eure-et-Loir”, the “Communauté de Communes des Forêts du Perche” , the City hall and the Tourist office of “La Ferté-Vidame” propose us the accommodation for 8000 people in a 30 kilometers area.

Hi all,

Just to confirm that the event is at the Citroën site at La Ferté-Vidame which is near Dreux, North West of Chartres. not the Michelin site at Ladoux, near Clermont-Ferrand.  This makes it much more accessible from UK.

We have been informed, via the ACI, of a new book which will be published to coincide with the Centenary and will be sold at a discounted price of 75.50 € to Club members.  I quote:

In the context of the anniversary, a new book is being launched – “Citroen 100 Ans” (100 Years) – the clubs get a special discount of 15% and also free delivery.

Please note – the discount availability is only until 3-Feb-2019.

As part of Vigipirate (vigilance, prevention and protection against terrorism) in view of the social climate and the resulting administrative necessities, the Prefecture of Eure & Loir has told us we must stop accepting registrations for the “Celebration of Centenary Citroën” on April 30, 2019 at midnight.

This is the date the final “Event Authorisation” must be lodged at the Prefecture. This is to allow the authorities to determine and plan the human resources required to maintain public order and our security.

Be prepared – don’t wait for this deadline,

I am trying to add a second passenger to my registration and can’t do it as it asks for an “Inscription” when I click on the pay button. Can anyone help on this? I have emailed them and hope to hear back but I need to change my registration.

…. are they asking you to confirm your original registration/inscription reference?

I am afraid my experience of trying to get answers to questions re. registration has been far from satisfactory.  Questions in English have been “overlooked” and, even when I have asked in French the subsequent replies have often been irrelevant – they seem to answer questions they would have preferred to receive rather than those actually posed.

Hi Bernie- I guess that is what they want but damned if I know how to do it. I wrote them a while back and they said to change my registration but it won’t allow me to do that. I’ll probably end up showing up at the gate with my friends and let them figure it out.

Larry just to clarify the ‘registration form’  https://en.citroencc.com/citroen-ticket-collec.php?setlangue=AN states  ‘1 registration for a Citroën car, 2 adults, (under 12 free), for 3 days :’ so will there be more than 2 of you attending?

BTW I tried to cancel my ‘inscription’ after paying as can’t now attend but despite several e mails back and forth I haven’t had any refund so can only assume my entry (3897) is still live so wonder if it’s transferable….

Hi David- yes, two along with me. Originally it was two, but now it’s three. I’ll look into that link and see if I can do it. I have already paid the original fee and need to pay 25 Euros more.
