For those of you who have never attended the annual “Citromobile” event in Holland, Julian Marsh has published a bunch of photo’s on his “Citronet.org” Website: http://www.citroenet.org.uk/phototheques/citromobile2015/index.html
The event is held every year at the beginning of May and takes place on a Saturday and Sunday.
Entrance cost is around €10 per adult.
The Citromobile Website is here: http://www.citromobile.nl/indexen.html
Citromobile is held at “Expo Haarlemermeer” which is located 16Km from the main terminal of Amsterdam Schipol Airport.
In addition to the second hand parts and spares specialists all of the Dutch Citroen Clubs have stands there, along with the ACI.
You can easily take a No 300 Bus from the Airport (runs every 15 mins) that drops you outside the front door of the event and continues to Haarlem Railway Station.
A Saturday morning flight from the UK with an evening return is easily done – if you decide to stay over be aware that many of the local hotels (and there are lots around the airport) tend to fill up in advance, however the good news is that many of them run a free shuttle bus to the airport until early in the morning!
If you have never been, it’s a good excuse for a “weekend away” in Amsterdam in the spring.
