Can anyone  help  with the wiring for the  7  terminal  column mounted lighting/ dip switch/ horn  combination as used  on a Slough  L 15  1952 Thanks Chris

Sounds like it has a French style switch fitted? However there is a post 52 Slough wiring diagram in members section

Thanks David . A coloured schematic is  always easier  to read  I now see that I have  inherited as part of the adventure a mixture  of  earth  switched  horn  set up  with a possibly newer  column  switch arrangement  This will allow  me to sort it Chris

Just to further clarify/confuse things on my French Legere you press the light switch button in toward the column to get the horns to sound, but my Quillery steering wheel centre could be wired as a horn push. There are it seems many variations on a Traction depending on how previous owners decided to play with the wiring 🙂

This is how my switch is wired, sidelights go out when dip or main beam  is selected but tail lights stay on:

Thanks ; the  mystery  of the  3G   wire ! I had thought it  was  extra power via  ignition switch but  the tail light alternative  makes a lot of  sense Thank you
