Just fitted a Stealth Dynamator £144.95, including VAT and delivery.

Beautifully made 45amp alternator, looks just like a Lucas C39 / C40, and fitting it was a piece of cake https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/331945146035

For the club alternator converter to wire in a alt warning/starter lamp on a late french car is there a particular pole of the ignition switch that it should connect to?

Club alternator now wired in and charging. Connect the B+ of the alternator so that it will connect to the three wire pole of the amp meter. Run a wire from the D+ of the  alternator and connect to a standard bulb warning 2 – 5w lamp in parallel with a resistor (I used a 10 watt 30 ohm wire wound aluminium body resistor from amazon) attach this to the ignition switch. I scraped and filed the alternator mounting to the engine to ensure there is ability to ground through the engine. The above is in a french car, I am no electrician but it all works now.

              Good Morning Norman

A somewhat late enquiry regarding your Stealth alternator: may I ask what battery you had on the car – I’d always been told that the alternator should have a greater amps output than the battery capacity…. Thanks.
