My vacuum advance unit is not working. I have disconnected tube from carb end and sucked, no movement of lever. Item not listed on the TOC parts. Does anyone know the Lucas distributer model fitted to the slough built cars so I can track one down please

Try ‘Distributor Doctor’, they should know what you need http://www.distributordoctor.com/

Googling it’s likely to be a DC4, DJH4-4A or DKH4-4A which Distributor Doctor should be able to confirm and why I posted the link Martin.

Cheers for the link. He is busy for the next eight weeks at present.
Turns out it is a DM2 unit but clockwise rotation (rare as Hens teeth) as majority are anti clockwise!

DM2 eh, just shows that Google isn’t always accurate 🙄

At least you now know what it should be

Retro Classics can build a vacum unit apparently http://www.retroclassiccarparts.com/vacuum-unit-25d4-25d6-and-22d6 if you don’t want to wait for a distributor overhaul.

Just phone with the three numbers off your old vacuum unit or the model and year of your car and we will make you a new one
