Thanks – noted. Although the auctioneer’s description is so light on detail about the actual car that I’m minded not to trust it.

And the current owner has not registered his ownership with the DVLA. I wonder why?

It’s untaxed and SORN is not declared so you will not be able to legally drive it away from the auction.

I see that the TOC AGM is not far from me – in Oct. So I’ll come along for part of it, meet some owners and try to wise up on the different models and approaches to restoration/maintenance/problems/etc.

The things that are mentioned in the advert sound well-sorted, of course, but there’s not much mentioned on bodywork condition/work, and hidden rot seems to be the biggest potential issue.

It is all the Tractions available on Le Bon Coin. It will give you a good indication on pricing etc (all in Euros). And to get the right car it is worth the travel, specially if you do not mind a LHD.
