New UK Car Restoration TV Show Needs Contributors

Is your partner fed up with your beloved restoration project?

North One Television (http://www.northonetv.com) producers of Speed With Guy Martin, The Gadget Show and Fifth Gear has been commissioned by ITV1 to make a brand new UK primetime car restoration show and we’re looking for couples to take part.

We want to help you return your much loved motor to the open road … but there’s a catch. We want your partner to roll up her sleeves and get stuck-in as well!

So ladies, if you’ve had enough of listening to your partner’s excuses and you’re sick of seeing that clapped out motor in the garage, then now’s the time to take matters into your own hands. And gents… the time has come to admit defeat and let your better half come to the rescue of your rusting relic.

I am assuming it is real – it was posted on the Renault Owners Club.

Will make a good show, depending on the willingness of the “non mechanical” partners 😆

I added it to the local car club Facebook page as it would make for good TV and they think it’s ‘sexist’ e.g.: “Extremely sexist, they should have said “partners” & left it at that, they could just as easily have gay people wanting to take part in the show.”

I have only seen Ian’s pics of his wife helping him and having some sound to hear the comments could be fun, my wife has occasionally helped me (very occasionally I have to say and it’s not for want of asking) 😮 )

The people who it offends are realistically offending only themselves by bringing up the subject.
