Is there an alternative to the steering wheel puller illustrated in the Repair Manual ?

I’ve just acquired a lovely original wheel to replace my cracked one and I don’t want to do any damage taking the old one off.

        Thanks, Bernie.

In the end, I re-used the old hub with the new wheel and therefore didn’t need to remove the hub – which was just as well as I noticed that the replacement hub that came with my new wheel was itself warped, presumably somebody had been over-zealous with a puller !

However, this weekend, I noticed weeping brake fluid from my front nearside drum and I’m therefore going to need the special front hub puller to investigate.

I’ll need to find someone who’ll lend me a puller on a break it/replace it basis or who’ll sell me a second hand one.

I understand that Club tools are only loaned as complete sets, which I don’t need.

I’ll contact my local section later today to see if they’ve got any suggestions but if you know of anyone who might have a used one for loan or sale, I’d really appreciate it if you’d please let me know.

        David.
