      And the complete shaft.

I just try pulley the steering wheel base with a puller but it just bent so I am thinking it is rock solid on the shaft. I have already removed the steering box (and all other components) so just left with the steering shaft with the worm drive on the bottom end (with the square 4 bolt flange – stopping it going upwards) and the steering wheel base (stopping it going downward).

Any suggestions on which is easier to remove. Are the steering wheel bases easy to get hold of as I might just angle grind it off.

      Thanks

      Ian

What do you mean by the steering wheel base?

Forgot the word for it. The part that the steering wheel bolts on to (three bolts) and then that then goes onto the steering shaft spline (hub??)

It has a key slot in it so assume I can just pull it off but with my normal 3 armed puller is just bent the flange up.
