Striker rod ball joints

Hi folks, this is one of the ball joints on the end of the control rods (gearbox end).

10mm on one end, 6mm on the other, and the taper looks like 8mm, both right hand thread. It’s completely shot. Any idea where I can source two? It doesn’t look much like 515508/516038 from the parts diagram!

There are lots of ball joints available but I think the biggest problem you will face is likelty to be the taper.  I shall check my “stock ” to see if I have any useable 2nd-hand bits.

In the meantime, you might like to see if these people can help (I have used them for other items such as side mirrors on stalks) ….

Thanks Bernie, I’ve searched Google, and will keep searching.

I’ve managed to unearth a couple of 516.038 Ball Pins in my stash (see below on the right). But the rod ends are completely shot. It is those that I’ll need (or a reasonable substitute).

Meantime, I’ll try Chris and see if John Gillard can help.
