I am just getting to know the 1938 11CV and its range of noises, not knowing it well yet makes it hard to distinguish normal and abnormal ones 😉
I have a creaking sound from front suspension when going over deep bumps (large suspension deflection), and a thumping noise from the rear.
I assume the front one is not ok, other than lack of adequate greasing, what could cause it? Is it more likely the top swingarm bushes, or the silent blocs?
Is the thumping noise/carrying bump noise from the rear suspension to the body something normal, or should I prepare ro replace the silent blocs there?
I took the car to an inspection station on one of those under wheel plate push/pull machines, couldn’t see much wrong there, except for track rod ends which were already fairly obviously worn out.
The front upper swingarm bushes seem like a pretty straightforward job, what about the other ones?
