Can anyone tell me the torque setting for a Big6 for the castellated nut on the outside of the front brake drum.

The list I have says 215 lbs per inch but I’ve been told this is for a four cylinder with a tapered axle.

      Many thanks in anticipation.

        Kevin,

The “6” manual – operation 719.26 – states the face of the nut should be greased and tightened to 30mkg for which the book suggests the imperial equivalent is 217 ftlb.

You can access and download the workshop manual here ….
