Me again The Commerciale has a 6 volt original electrical system which I hope to retain, The Starter motor has worked on rare occasions but mostly doesn’t. I took it to a local auto electrical guy who said the rear plate is broken. I had missed this but looking at the rear plate I could see it was cracked around the centre which he said would give me the symptoms I was experiencing. This is Citroen part 701853 described as Brush rear carrier plate with holders and springs. Has anyone out there got such apart or complete starter they might sell?
