Welcome to the joys of traction ownership. The forum seems very quiet at the moment, so let me be the first to hope you enjoy your time with the car. As you bought it from the north east of Scotland it must be well known to Andy Burnett (tel no in the thread above) who can probably advise you on it’s originality. I know that some early post war Slough cars did use French components like door handles from time to time just to keep production going. Yours seems a bit late for that but you never know.

I am just about the nearest member to you – I live in Lochwinnoch. When the weather improves a bit why not come over here in your  in your car? I keep the Scottish Section toolkit so you can see if there is anything you might need to borrow. There is also the open invitation to join Drive it Day on April 22nd – we are going from Stirling to New Lanark – details in next FP. Failing that, hope to see you at the National Rally in June.
