Not many genuine Roadsters were built and originals are very collectable so it is not surprising to me that a cheaper option will appeal to many.
There must always have been enough would-be owners out there or Peacock would never have bothered setting up a business producing such “re-creations” so long ago and others have since followed suit.
As for the price… it must surely primarily depend on how much the new owner wants one and how good the conversion is. Personally, I would not be interested but, I can understand some people will be perfectly content to have a repro for a lot lower price than an original.
