“Religiously” is probably a bit too strong a term but yes, I do aim to get both the Traction and Yellow Peril tested anually.

Although I have the luxury of a pit at home, it is neither full length nor deep enough go be able go stand up completely straight so the MOT test is a once-a-year opportunity to inspect the underside(s) in relative comfort.  It also provides a second opinion from an independant person who is actually charged with confirming the vehicle is safe to use.

Finally, I would like to think that, in the event of the roadworthiness ever being called into question – whatever the reason, I can demonstrate having made every effort to ensure, and maintain, compliance.
