I have a French built 1953 BL.  I’m trying to figure out how to access the side or parking light on the driver’s side of the car.  This is the small light at the top of the door pillar.  I thought maybe one just carefully pries the light assembly from the door pillar surface, but I thought I’d ask before doing any permanent damage.  Appreciate anyone’s advice or guidance on this.

The light does come out by gently prying with a flat-edge tool. A wooden paint stirring stick with a sharpened edge would work without damaging the paint.

Thanks Larry!  I’ll give it a go this weekend and report back.

            Larry,

Thanks again for your guidance.  I was able to successfully remove the side light (see picture).  The discoloration around the light fixture hole is a bit of dust, paint was undamaged.  I dismantled the light fixture, cleaned up the electrical connections and now the light works again!
