      I’m in the process of restoring my Big Six and struggling with door seals having replaced most of the metal retaining strip and bought.
      correct new door seals, short of gluing them in place I don’t see any other way of getting them to stay in place, I think the rubber is a different profile to the original, I’ve looked on e bay at self adhesive door seals there is a lot of choices, but I have found one to very close to the original profile, but it means  removing the retaining strip, so before I set to with the grinder I was wondering if anyone had any thoughts or ideas

        Hi Martin

        I assume you obtained the seals from a Traction specialist. I also assume the seals for a Big Six are the same as for the French cars and that you are therefore trying to fit this:

        door rubber sealing strip special (for 4 doors)

        When I fitted mine to my Normale I struggled at first and then realized I was fitting them the wrong way round.Once I got them the right way round things went much better. Sorry, my car is not to hand so I can’t provide a photo.

            Hi Chris

            I bought the seals from Cas or Franssen I can’t remember which, I’ve tried them both ways I think there’s a problem with the replacement strip that it’s a bit smaller than the original, but the rubber does seem very loose, but I will go back and take another look, thank you for your input

              Good luck Martin.

              I took these 2 photos to show how the seal fit on mine. Not sure if that helps. Maybe your channel needs to be closed up a bit to make it a tighter fit?
