The actual Vancouver French car show was nearly a month ago but it’s been picked up on BBC Autos in honour of Bastille Day.

There isn’t a huge local Traction population, but the four running examples I know about all made it out, and there was a pretty good range consisting of a pre-war Legere, a 6, a Commerciale, and my Normale.

Shame we can’t watch it from the UK as it’s a service not funded by our licence fee… Go figure that one out.

Oh the joys of international licensing. The author often eventually posts his articles on his own page, and if so I’ll link it. I’m struggling to think of who BBC America is targetting with their US site. Angolphiles?

We’re sorry but this site is not accessible from the UK as it is part of our international service and is not funded by the licence fee. It is run commercially by BBC Worldwide, a wholly-owned subsidiary of the BBC, the profits made from it go back to BBC programme-makers to help fund great new BBC programmes.

Maybe it’s a sign of things to come like having to pay for ‘On Demand’ services like BBC iPlayer which has been talked about this week here in the UK
