IMPORTANT – Forum Rules

This forum is provided by The Traction Owners Club Ltd (“the Club”) as a means for its members to discuss issues relating to the ownership, maintenance and restoration of their vehicles.

Advice is given by members in good faith but the Club cannot vouch for the accuracy of any information given.

Any person using the information found within this forum should at all times satisfy themselves of the safety of any work carried out on their vehicles and the competence of any individual who may be carrying out work on their behalf.

The Club cannot be held responsible for any injury, loss or damage sustained through the use of any information found within this forum.

Members must at all times treat other forum members with respect, no foul language or offensive / abusive behaviour will be tolerated. Members engaging in such behaviour will be removed at the discretion of the Forum Moderators.

Any member who chooses to bring the club into disrepute, or who openly directs derogatory remarks of a personal nature at any other club member, representative or officer of the Club, be it in person, in writing, or through digital means, including any social media, will not be tolerated.
A report of such an occurrence to the Club Secretary will be treated seriously and fully investigated. If a report is deemed by the Club to be founded, the offending member will receive a warning, either in person or by digital means. If the Club is made aware of a further offence, the member in question will be advised, either in person or by digital means, that their membership will be revoked for life with no refund of unused membership fees.

Members have the right to appeal either the initial, or subsequent, report of offences to the Club. The decision of the Club, as a result of any such appeal, is final.

In cases of serious offending, the Club reserve the right to act immediately, without warning and without the right of appeal.

Members are encouraged to raise any issues with the club’s organisers and area reps.
